Arena di Verona –The Roman Arena is over 2,000 years old and one of the best-preserved amphitheatres in the world. During the summer months, however, it transforms into something extraordinary.
The Arena di Verona Opera Festival is considered one of the world’s greatest open-air opera events, attracting visitors from across the globe.
Watching a performance beneath the stars, surrounded by ancient Roman stone, is an experience that goes far beyond opera itself. Even if you’ve never attended an opera before, Verona is the perfect place for your first one.

Located just off Piazza delle Erbe, Museo Maffei presents an extraordinary private collection spanning more than two thousand years of history. Ancient Roman sculptures stand alongside Renaissance masterpieces, decorative arts, furniture, paintings and fascinating objects collected with remarkable taste. The museum feels intimate rather than overwhelming.
It’s beautifully curated, peaceful and perfect for visitors who enjoy discovering places that many tourists simply walk past. For us, it became one of the highlights of Verona.
